Production
The Production Practicum offers an immersive experience in high-level event production, equipping students with transferable skills in technical operations, project management, and creative problem-solving under pressure. Students will gain hands-on training in audio, lighting, video, and broadcast systems while learning how to lead volunteers, manage timelines, and troubleshoot in live environments. These competencies prepare students for leadership in both ministry and marketplace event, media, and operations roles. Mentorship from the Production Director will focus on technical proficiency, teamwork, and the ability to deliver excellence in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
Guest Experience
The Guest Experience Practicum develops strong interpersonal, customer service, and team leadership skills by training students to create welcoming environments that leave lasting impressions. Students will oversee hospitality processes, lead and inspire volunteer teams, and manage guest engagement strategies. These skills translate seamlessly to leadership in customer-facing industries, hospitality, and client relations. Mentorship will focus on emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and building a culture of honor—qualities essential for success in any professional setting.
Youth
The Youth Practicum trains students to lead dynamic programs for middle and high school students, building skills in event planning, team management, public speaking, and mentorship. Students will develop their ability to connect across generational lines, motivate teams, and design engaging experiences—competencies that are highly valuable in education, coaching, and leadership roles. Weekly mentorship with the Youth Pastor will emphasize creativity, relational leadership, and the ability to inspire growth in others.
J-Kids
The Journey Kids Practicum provides experience in leading high-energy, educational environments for children, while also managing teams, curriculum, and safety protocols. Students will develop expertise in lesson facilitation, volunteer leadership, and operational coordination, building skills relevant to education, program management, and organizational leadership. Mentorship will focus on developing clear communication, adaptability, and the ability to create engaging, safe, and effective learning environments.
Worship
The Worship Practicum offers leadership experience in both creative and operational aspects of producing high-quality, impactful events. Students will learn music direction, service planning, team communication, and the organizational skills needed to bring creative visions to life. These skills apply to creative arts leadership, entertainment management, and production roles in both ministry and marketplace contexts. Mentorship will focus on balancing excellence and authenticity while leading diverse teams toward a shared vision.
Small Groups
The Small Groups Practicum develops strong leadership, facilitation, and people management skills as students learn to create and sustain healthy, collaborative environments. Students will gain experience in volunteer coaching, resource development, and group dynamics—competencies useful in HR, training, and organizational development. Mentorship will focus on relationship-building, problem-solving, and empowering others to grow in their skills and influence.
Missions & Outreach
The Missions & Outreach Practicum builds project management, cross-cultural communication, and partnership development skills through local and global service initiatives. Students will gain hands-on experience coordinating events, mobilizing volunteers, and managing community partnerships—skills that transfer to nonprofit management, corporate social responsibility, and community engagement roles. Mentorship will focus on adaptability, collaboration, and leading with empathy.
Leadership Development
The Leadership Development Practicum equips students with the skills to design, implement, and evaluate leadership training programs, applicable to corporate, nonprofit, and ministry environments. Students will develop coaching abilities, presentation skills, and strategic thinking. Mentorship will focus on developing high-capacity leaders, fostering team culture, and creating systems that multiply influence.
Campus Pastor
The Campus Pastor Practicum provides operational and relational leadership training in a multisite organization, developing competencies in staff oversight, strategic planning, and community relations. These skills are highly transferable to regional management, executive leadership, and nonprofit administration roles. Mentorship will focus on leading teams with clarity, managing complex operations, and navigating sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
Online Campus
The Online Campus Practicum equips students with digital engagement, content creation, and virtual event management skills—highly sought-after in today’s hybrid and remote work environments. Students will learn how to facilitate online communities, produce live broadcasts, and create digital strategies that drive connection. Mentorship will focus on communication across digital platforms, audience engagement, and adaptability in rapidly evolving technologies.
Admin
The Administration Practicum provides experience in organizational systems, project coordination, and operational support, preparing students for administrative and management roles in multiple industries. Students will learn data management, scheduling, and communication workflows while refining their ability to manage details and meet deadlines. Mentorship will focus on efficiency, prioritization, and supporting teams for maximum effectiveness.
Facilities
The Facilities Practicum develops operational leadership, logistics management, and problem-solving skills through the stewardship of complex facilities. Students will learn to plan projects, manage budgets, oversee vendor relationships, and coordinate volunteer teams—skills transferable to operations, property management, and project supervision roles. Mentorship will emphasize process improvement, quality control, and leadership through service.
Programming & QC
The Programming & Quality Control Practicum builds expertise in event planning, process management, and multi-team coordination. Students will learn how to design service flows, manage deadlines, and lead collaborative projects under pressure. These skills prepare students for careers in production management, operations, and creative project coordination. Mentorship will focus on critical thinking, attention to detail, and executing with excellence.
Creative
The Creative Practicum offers hands-on experience in design, video production, and brand communication, preparing students for creative roles in marketing, media, and communications. The Marketing & Photography Practicum trains students in campaign creation, brand storytelling, and cross-platform content strategy. Students will develop skills in writing, design coordination, analytics, and audience engagement—valuable for roles in advertising, PR, and digital marketing. Mentorship will focus on aligning communication with organizational mission, measuring effectiveness, and adapting strategies to changing trends.
